Connecting the dots . . .
午飯時﹐某位奉Steve Jobs (CEO of Apple)為偶像的同事說﹐Steve Jobs 病了。然後滔滔不絕地談論蘋果的創新產品 — 他幾乎擁有所有蘋果產品。
我沒買過iPod﹐iPhone﹐MacBook… 我只想起 Steve Jobs 在史丹福大學畢業典禮上的一段演講辭︰
" you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something ─ your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots would connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads you off the well-worn path. And that will make all the difference. 我也覺得﹐遇上的每件事﹐碰上的每個人﹐都在生命冊裡留下一個點。一個一個的小點﹐不規律地的散佈著﹐總有一天﹐總有幾個小點可以連接起來成為一條線。只是﹐在點連成線前﹐凡夫俗子的我們﹐無從猜出哪幾個點將連成線﹐也沒有慧眼看透線將伸往哪方。因此﹐何必過度精心盤算﹐處心積慮﹐而耗掉在生命冊上畫點的時間?

Apart from “Connecting Dots”, I like the concept “remembering you are going to die is the best way to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There’s no reason not to follow your heart” Let’s “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish”
